Scott’s experience originates back to the early 1990’s when he worked as a carpenter’s apprentice building custom homes and remodeling residences in McCall, Idaho. He developed extensive hands-on and general contracting experience with residential remodeling and the construction of new homes by training under journeymen carpenters for several years, mastering the skills required to become a confident lead carpenter.

Scott began his formal education at the University of Idaho, majoring in Landscape Architecture. Later at Boise State University he majored in both Mathematics and Chemistry, and then moved back to Moscow where he achieved the difficult, and coveted, Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. During his stint at U of I, not only was Scott a full time Chemical Engineering student, but he was also a lead carpenter and general contractor for several custom remodel projects in Moscow.

After graduation, Scott and Julie moved back to Boise to follow his new career and worked for a couple of years as a Chemical Engineer, but was always conducting residential remodels or new construction projects on the side. After many successes with several part time construction projects as a side business he realized his true passion was building unique quality structures. Along with his extensive background developing systems as an engineer, and his 15 years of experience in the residential construction industry, Scott launched Flynner Homes, which has quickly gained a great deal of respect as a builder of quality custom homes in Boise and the greater Treasure Valley. Since starting his building company Scott has achieved Registered Master Builder status from the Idaho Building Contractors Association.

Scott lives in Boise’s beautiful historical North End district with his wife Julie and their children, Derrek, Bailey and Marcus .

Flynner Homes

Flynner Homes originated out of the desire of its owner, Scott M Flynn, to set a new industry standard for the term “affordable custom home” in the Treasure Valley, by constructing custom homes that have well planned and thought out architectural design qualities both inside and out.

Flynner Homes’ mission is to construct high quality custom homes by utilizing fine craftsmanship, inspiring designs and stimulating materials, to fulfill our customer’s desires and dreams by providing customer service exceeding their expectations, and to hire and keep outstanding employees by providing a stimulating and challenging work environment.

Currently homes are being constructed by utilizing an internet information system known as "The Catalyst". The Catalyst links project managers, superintendents and sub-contractors to the required materials, schedules and designs for each home. The Catalyst, along with a talented staff, expedites efficiency and allows Flynner Homes to complete all projects on, or ahead of schedule and budget.
