Is your builder one? Due to the boom and bust of the last few years builder credibility is at an all time high. There seems to be a lot of concern, with good reason, from homes buyers that most builders might not have what it takes to get through the down turn. One critical way for a home buyer to assure themselves they are building/buying with a credible builder is to check to see if the builder is a Register Master Builder (RMB).
The RMB program is a voluntary registration program for members of the Idaho Builders Contractor Association (IBCA). Registered Master Builders are reviewed annually to meet high standards including: · Proven experience of building in Idaho; · Favorable references reviewed annually from local subcontractors, suppliers and homebuyers; · Favorable annual credit review; · Workers' Compensation and General Liability Insurance; · A written limited warranty or be in an approved insured written warranty program; To find out more about the RMB program and to see the builders who are registered visit the IBCA at http://www.ibca.org/rmb.htm Cheers, Scott Flynn, RMB |
